Pets love Whistler’s whimsical Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel. So do the judges behind the 2014 World Ski Awards, who’ve just commended Summit as Canada’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel.
Launched in 2013, the World Ski Awards celebrate excellence in ski tourism. Votes are cast by professionals working within the ski industry including senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, travel agents, media, and by the general public from 127 countries worldwide. The World Ski Awards are an off-shoot of the London, U.K.-based World Travel Awards, which have been in existence for 21 years.
“We are incredibly proud and honoured to have received this prestigious award,” says Tony Medd, General Manager of the Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel. “Being recognized by the World Ski Awards demonstrates that the Summit Lodge is able compete on the world stage as a top hotel in a first class destination.”
The Summit Lodge & Spa Boutique Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Whistler Village. According to their website, “the hotel’s unique and personalized touches such as complimentary snowshoe rental, rent-a-fish program and hot drinks in the lobby all day long, combine with its award-winning service and amenities to offer an individualized boutique hotel experience second to none. Summit makes it easier for their guests to enjoy all the adventures Whistler has to offer by providing complimentary perks like wi-fi, shuttle service, pet stays, equipment storage and bike rentals.”
We’ll get back to you on the rent-a-fish program once we’ve had the chance to stay there. In the meantime, well done. Any hotel that loves dogs is good by me.
